I’ve tried many different methods to Get Spray Paint off Hands. That is, until I found this one. The key is to scrub the paint off. Don’t just wipe it away with a paper towel or anything like that. This is by far the most effective way to get the paint off your skin.
- Exfoliate. For some reason when you rub a towel over a fresh spray paint stain, you just make the stain worse. Rub your hands with baking soda and warm water. That will get the rust off.
- Scrub. Baking soda will break up the stain, but you still need to scrub the skin. Rub the affected area of your skin with alcohol, then scrub some more.
- Blot it. Leave a wet rag over the affected area for several hours. That will help dry out the polish.
- Wash it off. Make sure you wash the clothing or whatever you sprayed the paint on right away.
- Exfoliate again. You can try this two more times in two different ways: a) Rubbing alcohol is also great for removing stubborn stains.
Soak your hands

Now this part is the key. Take a damp sponge and wet it. Then dip your hands in the water. Let them soak. Take them out after a couple of minutes. Use the sponge to scrub the paint off of your skin. Keep scrubbing for a couple of minutes. You don’t want to scrub too hard. You want to scrub the paint off. The sponge is for that.
Rubbing will help break down the paint and remove it from your skin. Shave it off This is the trickiest method of all. Again, you want to scrub. If you are at a professional spray paint store, the workers will usually give you wipes to wipe the paint off of your skin. However, if you are scraping the paint off your car by hand, this is the easiest way to go. Using a knife or a razor, shave the paint off of your skin.

Toothpaste

Let’s start with the most obvious method. Try to get a couple of teaspoons of toothpaste and rub it all over your fingers. For those of you that can’t, get some cheap baby toothpaste and dilute it a little. If it’s too thick, try putting a little bit in a bowl of warm water. That should work just fine. Spray paint really doesn’t like water.
So make sure you do it a couple of minutes in advance, and do a couple of other things in there to make sure you’re getting every single part of the hand that you can. Go to your sink. Use warm water. Do a little washing up. When you get the paint off your fingers, you’ll get a little bit of toothpaste in your skin. But it’s a lot more effective than wiping.
Baby Wipes
Babies get covered in lots of stuff: vomit, formula, diaper cream, formula, spit up, milk, spit up, etc. This doesn’t mean that we should let it happen, but baby wipes can be useful for your human body (the one you’re in control of, at least). For the first couple of years of life, the skin on your face is very fragile. The super oily skin needs to breathe, so it will sweat and then stay damp.

That’s why baby wipes can come in so handy. Wipe the dirty areas off and clean with warm water (or a wipe). Avoiding the worst offenders: Baby powder and baby lotion Honey Lemon or cucumber juice Air drying Plain old soaping Baking soda The best way to get the paint off of your hands is to scrub with a little water and a bit of soap. 1. Soak your hands in warm water for a minute. 2.
Dish soap
The trick to this method is the dish soap. Use 1 tablespoon of dish soap and scrub your skin for about 30 seconds. If you can’t scrub hard enough, you may need to use a loofah to scrub harder. I usually use a lavender and rose scented soap. It just feels a bit nicer on your skin. If it doesn’t help, you may need to try a chemical stripping product.
I usually suggest going with a simple acetone stripping product as they work better for this process. Use this method as often as you’d like the paint to come off of your hands. In the mean time, go work on your decal art for a while. If you liked this post on how to get spray paint off your hands, please “LIKE” it below. It will help me spread the word about my products.
Make a paste
Like I mentioned before, this is by far the easiest way to get paint off of your skin. So I recommend that you make a paste out of baking soda and water before you begin. Mix the two ingredients, and then apply it to your hands. For some reason, this stuff really works. If it’s not working for you, you can go back to making a paste of baking soda and water. Rubbing it in When you apply the paste, make sure that you rub it in thoroughly.
You want to make sure that every little bit of the paint is removed. Next, take some toilet paper and get the last little bit of paint off. But only go as far as you feel comfortable going. Let dry Once the paste is dry, you can remove the excess paint from your skin with just water. I always leave it overnight.

Remove the paint from your skin before it dries
Before attempting to remove the paint, clean the area with soapy water. This gets the grime off of the paint. While it’s still wet, scrub the skin vigorously in a circular motion. Go slowly to prevent any injury. Be careful, especially on the skin’s surface. Try to lift the paint as little as possible. If you lift too much, the paint will begin to dry and stick.
This doesn’t mean scrubbing for hours or anything like that. Just remove the paint in as short a time as possible. Other methods to remove spray paint from your hands Rubbing alcohol When all else fails, if it still doesn’t come off, you can try rubbing alcohol. This will dry faster, but it will also set the paint, making it harder to remove. Some research suggests that rubbing alcohol may not actually work.
